During the 2021 season, the Blue Sox are partnering with PeoplesBank for our Strike Out Hunger campaign! $10 dollars will be donated to The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts for every strikeout thrown by a Blue Sox pitcher. In the 2019 season, the Blue Sox struck out 341 batters, resulting in $3,410 raised for The Food Bank of Western Mass.
The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts has been around since 1982 and has been feeding many of our neighbors in the Hampden, Hampshire, Franklin, and Berkshire counties. Based in Hatfield MA, The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts is responsible for gathering healthy and nutritious foods from various donors and other officials and distributing them to local food pantries and other distribution sites. This is an important part of making sure that ALL of our neighbors are able to eat.
